Having started on 'I'm sorry I haven't a clue', so you think we'd get flung off
the list if we started playing 'Mornington Crescent'?

The rules would adapt very easily. The winner is obviously the first player to
return to Earth, though for obvious reasons we'd have to ban the use of planets
with retrograde orbits.

Will you please give a warm welcome to, all the way from Babylon 5, Mr and Mrs
Corps and their son Cy.

Look, here's Mr and Mrs What-a-single-function-isomorphic-response-is and their
daughter Wanda What-a-single-function-isomorphic-response-is.

Who let that dog in here? It's Mr Oid with his mutt. He looks hungry - throw
him a sop, Ron.

Your cabaret tonight, all the way from the city at the edge of the world, are
that renowned troupe 'Children of Auron'. Rumours of their death have been
greatly exaggerated. Their supporting act for this evening will be 'stock
equalisation', singing along with Tommy Steele, and your host will be Cy
Costrategist.

Oh, another late arrival. It's the United Teal football team and their Gola
Keeper. There's a rumour that Vila will join as their foremost centre forward
(CF1).

A good evening to one and all. I'm sure we'll all be dancing until the
single sun rises over the horizon.

Judith

PS. I apologise for the extreme obscurity of some of the puns. I just have
that kind of a sense of humour. A trawl through the Sevencyclopaedia (on my
website) will track down the worst ones for those who aren't blessed with a
memory for trivia. (always assuming that you really want to know why Vila is
also technical advisor to the football team...)

Some new arrivals (they turned up during a very dull night shift)

Mr and Mrs Preme-commander-Servalan with their daughter, Sue
Preme-commander-Servalan.

From Sweden, Mr and Mrs Episode-saw-them-all-get-shot-on-Gauda-Prime with
their son, Lars Episode-saw-them-all-get-shot-on-Gauda-Prime.

And from the Far East, Mr and Mrs Huan-An-Tu with their psychotic son,
Travis Huan-An-Tu.

A rather promiscuous chap known only as Stanley who has fathered children
with half a dozen different women. Stan, dad by six.

And not forgetting that zippy little fellow, Perce Yootship.

And I suppose we can let these two in:

Mr and Mrs Kinskywalker with their Jedi daughter, Annie Kinskywalker.
And that much disparaged Jedi Knight, Obi 'Wanker' Nobi.

Hmmm. You're a regular listener, aren't you?

However, a rousing welcome if you please to Mr and Mrs
Kinesis-is-a-myth-at-least-according-to-Tarrant, who have brought along
their skeptical son, Terry Kinesis-is-a-myth-at-least-according-to-Tarrant.

And Mr and Mrs Destiny with their daughter who works in a railway goods yard
and is hence known as Miss 'Shunter' Destiny.

And here come Zeus and Apollo. They no longer live on Mount Olympus,
preferring to rent a basement flat in East Cheam, and they've brought along
the girl who lives on the ground floor, Dawn over Gods.

Mr and Mrs Ternalsurveillancesystem with their perspicacious son, Ian
Ternalsurveillancesystem (let's get THAT one out of the way)

And diverted from an emergency flight to Aristo, Mr and Mrs Ropowercells
with their son Mike Ropowercells.

That sturdy planetary custodian Guard Enos, with his pal, Mero.

And let's not overlook Mr and Mrs Distortdrive with their son, Tim.

Good grief, at this rate we'll have to get a bigger ballroom...

Neil, who wants to know why no one took this up when he first fielded it in
AltaZine.

Famed research biologist Dr. Toothpick was too busy to find an
escort for the ball, but didn't wish to attend entirely alone, and brought
his favorite pet, itsy-bitty lab rat Furry Toothpick.

So, who went to Worldcon (Kathryn?), and was there anything of even remotely
B7ish interest going on there?

For that matter, did anyone go to Nasfic?

Just wondering,

Pat Patera and I were at NasFic. Many months before the con, I requested
to chair a B7 panel. I never received word back from the committee. There
wasn't a B7 panel.

For any one else on the list who happened to go to NasFic, perhaps you saw
Pat and I on Saturday night. Pat was Puffy the Vampire Slayer while I was
Tramila the vamp. We also had another friend (a B7 friend not subbed to
this list) playing the Watcher. We terrorized the parties.
Unfortunately, Puffy and the watcher had stakes, crosses, and squirt
bottles of holy water. Poor Tramila.

As for WorldCon, I know that a handful of people used LA and NasFic as a
stopping off place before they continued on to WorldCon. I have no idea
whether the con had a B7 panel.

Hugs to all.
