Living in the Scorpio
(with apologies to Skyhooks)

I feel a little crazy, I feel a little strange
Like I'm in Freedom City, without any change,
I feel a little edgy , I feel a little weird,
I feel like an Avon, that's grown a beard

(chorus)
I'm livin' on the Scorpio
Making peanuts on this crappy show
My face gets dirty just walkin' around
Soma & adrenalin to calm me down

I feel a bit nervous, I feel a bit mad,
I feel like a good time, with a geek who's bad,
I feel a bit fragile, I feel a bit low,
I should be in Star Wars, but I'm on the wrong show,

I'm livin in the galaxy,
I feel like I lost my keys
I got the right day, got the wrong quarry
Shoot a fed trooper to solve your worries

I'm livin on the Scorpio
(repeat several times)
(instrumental break)

Weeeeelllll, I feel a little insane, I feel a bit dazed
My crew is shrinkin', and my roof's been raised,
I feel a bit mixed up, the guest star is queer,
I feel like that Travis, who can't face his peers,

I'm livin' in the galaxy ,
I Just caught a Killer disease
I'm livin' in the galaxy
I'm livin in the galaxy

(chorus)
I'm livin' on the Scorpio
Making peanuts on this crappy show
My face gets dirty just walkin' around
Soma & adrenalin to calm me down

I'm livin on the Scorpio
(repeat)

I'm livin in the galaxy,
I feel like I lost my keys
I got the right day, got the wrong quarry
Shoot a fed trooper to solve your worries

I'm livin in the galaxy !

ALL MY FRIENDS ARE GETTING TORTURED
(more apologies to Skyhooks)

Well all my friends are getting tortured,
Yes they're all in trouble
They're all hooked up to scary apparatus
They're all doing what they're told

Well I looked into the cave, the other night
And I saw an old familiar face
He said "How are you doing Roj my boy?"
He said "Tell me, are you running that same old race?"

I asked him all about himself
And he said he was a rebel in a cave
He showed me a picture of fed atrocities
And we talked about all those things we hate

Well sometimes I feel like I'm a rebel king
And sometimes I feel like I've just left school
Wonder if I'll really win one
Maybe I'm the only fool

But I'm all caught up with this faction,
Yes I'm all caught up in this hunt,
I'm all caught up with this struggle,
Maybe I'll never have a son
Maybe I'll never have a son.

Well all my friends are getting tortured,
Yes they're all in trouble
They're all hooked up to scary apparatus
They're all doing what they're told

Actually this second one turned out a lot sadder than funny.

Barbara Windsor as Zil. Zil never stopped jiggling about either.

For those who have seen Carry On Follow That Camel, Kenneth Williams could
easily play a camp-ish Travis.

Charles Hawtrey IS Vila !

Hattie Jacques as Matron Servalan.

Joan Sims as Jenna.

Frankie Howerd as camp Guest Star of the week.

Sid James as Tarrant, the dashing, annoying pilot.

What's not to like? Hummmm... Could it be that truly hideous -- even by
the standards of the day -- kairopan-munching spidery thing?

And just what is kairopan? And why would anyone care? And what would
anyone do with it that would make it so valuable? Enquiring minds want
to know.

How did the lunar module get so far out into space? Surely, if
technology had progressed to a point where extensive space travel was
possible, it would have moved beyond lunar modules? It is impossible to
believe that Servalan, enamoured of thinking with her computer as she
was, would have been fooled by the module bluff; whatever else she may
have been, she was not stupid. Jarvik was right to laugh.

Moreover, I would just like to say, for the record, that I was glad they
shot Jarvik and put him out of the audience's misery. I suspect the boys
(and girls) down on the construction crews set up quite a few cold ones
when they found out. This was the kind of man that should never have
been allowed to stray outside the confines of a bodice-ripping romance
novel. What an insufferable oinker!

And there were as G. says the ugly oxygen masks, the tacky cardboard(?)
crates...the sheer pointlessness of the entire exercise...

If I hadn't already seem the previous episodes of B7 and known how good
the show could be, I would have given up after this one.

If you can plough through the entire Thomas Covenent opus you can handle
the Silmarillion, Tom. It's a bit like reading the bible - parts of it contain
scenes of such mythic grandeur that they'll stay with you for years, and other
bits are, well, like trying to get entertainment out of Leviticus. I have to say
that I've read through the best bits (about 60%) of the Silmarillion about four
times in all, and each time some of the chapters leave me feeling like I did
after first watching 'Blake'. G'wan, give it a try!

Carol just reminded me that I haven't told anyone my new email or website
address. Tim and I have just moved to Melbourne and all the details have
changed. To wit:

email: parallax@wire.net.au

website: http://www.wire.net.au/~parallax and follow the Blake's 7 link
to Phoenix and Voices from the Past. When I have settled down a bit with
the new job, I will attempt to finish Phoenix 4 and get it online... though
at the rate I'm going it might be a Xmas release...

And for the record, I like beards. :-) Tim is suitably hirsute, though I
agree that it doesn't suit all men, and not all beards are nice. Tim's is
though. :-))

bye

I have just joined and am sorry if these have been discussed in great detail
many times before, but it is something that has always puzzled me ever since I
was four and used to play with my toy "Corgi" Liberator (which was my
favourite model but the Green glass bit at the back used to smash and the
laser cannons used to bend a lot)...I had about three but all of them broke,
does anybody still have one?

Anyway, the questions are these:

1) Where abouts did the crew sit on the ship?

2) Was the green thing at the back part of the engines? (When I was little, I
always imagined it to be part of Zen!?)

3) Did all four of the cannons fire, if all four laser type things are guns
etc?

Hope you can help

Paul
