<If any B7 episodes had been made that way, which ones would they be?>

Trish suggested :

<Yawn of the Gods, Ultraworld, Animals...>

<grin> now, now, just 'coz Una's not here to threaten retribution ... no,
really, it takes a lot of thought and effort and hard work to come up with
something as unique as Animals. I hate to admit it, but I am developing a
sneaking fondness for the damn thing. (And Og is positively endearing in his
- his - what *is* the word? No, Steve, I am not asking you!).

Gosh, I'm reading a schlock horror book called 'Daemonic' which is dedicated
to Roger Corman, and is a bit of a tribute to him (the evil film director
character is a bit reminiscent).
Interestingly there are seven morally ambiguous 'heroes' in the book, and
the three evil henchmen are called 'Payne', 'Aikin' (groan) and 'Travis'.
So perhaps someone got there first.
Other interesting plot point in that story, the cowardly electronics expert
in the story, who carries a case of gadgets around with him, turns out to
be... something rather more nasty, and not as cowardly and foolish as he
first appeared.

It is pretty awful to be honest, but then you could say that is post-modern
irony. Always a handy get-out. I can't remember the author, but he is 'of a
certain age' (ie about my age) which always makes me think that B7 refs are
deliberate (though they aren't very important in this book).

I think that people tend to drop 'Travis' in as a name, because it doesn't
stand out like a sore thumb the way Blake or Avon would. B7 is so camp and
knowing people tend to pop in a reference or two as a camp and knowing wink
to the reader IMHO.

Yeah, it might have ended up camp, gaudy, mannered and cheap-looking.
Perish the thought.

:) Yes, one or two is quite nice. I prefer the subtle kind of reference
that makes you do a double take, and even then you're not quite sure
that it's deliberate. Whereas Full Frontal Murder has a bit of overkill,
and distracts one from staying in the story. (IMHO)

*grin* Am I the only one who actually likes Ultraworld? Some great model
shots of the Liberator, the zombie like workers, Avon struggling to stay
awake and Vila and Orac saving the day. I tend to watch this episode quite
regularly.

I'm sorry, folks, but the name is the only thing I can't get
over about Travis's character. I mean, TRAVIS? Doesn't exactly
strike fear into the hearts of men and all that. Sounds more like a
stoner name.

"Dude, Travis, pass the kind, man."
